All the pieces in this series were created with a technique called ‘kinetic casting’ in which the mold is spinning as hot glass is poured into it.
This deep red disc is an incredible piece of hot blown glass sculpture using cast glass technique by the brilliant glass artist Rick Jarvis. In this case, the abstract look of this work is an excellent specimen from this artist. Of course, the technique in Hotblown Glass is wonderfully engaging!
