There were many exciting things for a young child to see but nothing like the artists working with liquid fire!”

As a young child I lived in Europe – that’s us sitting outside of St Mark’s Square, Venice, in 1964!  There were many exciting things for a young child to see and do but nothing like the artists working with liquid fire on Murano. Over the years, we have been back many times…the amazing artistry, wonderful people – and incredible glass art!

Darrell in Venice at age 9!

First, we fell in love with Venice and Murano Glass. Then, the wider world of fine art glass sculpture opened our eyes further! Now we’re seeing truly great work right smack in the heart of the American Midwest.

Over the last decade, as we watched conventional galleries close all around us, we thought it was time for a new model and established Murano Midwest Gallery. Our online presence allows us to serve the entire US, while our non-traditional retail model keeps costs down and reduces prices.

The best glass artists are melding centuries-old authentic techniques with fresh inspiration. They work with a mastery of traditional forms and techniques that still looks modern – but without being too self-conscious about it.

This is unique, original art by authentic, world class artists – all at fair, no haggle prices!
