This is a very unusual double bottle form in a striking blue with an interesting zanfirico pattern in white. There is a significant degree of difficulty in pulling out the center and the entire piece, though hollow, is sealed.
This vivid aqua stalactite is a truly breathtaking piece of hot blown glass sculpture using zanfirico cane technique by the highly collectible glass artist Dan Alexander. Naturally, the abstract and bright colored look of this work is an excellent specimen from this artist. Of course, the technique in Hotblown Glass is incredibly interesting!More Information
Dan has traveled the world working with many internationally known glass artists. He has studied with Elio Quariso, Martin Janecky, Dante Marioni, James Mongrain and Davide Fuin. In fact, he spent several months working with Davide Salvadore in his private studio in Murano, Italy. These experiences have given Dan the tools needed to create some of the most beautiful glass to be found anywhere!
Dan was featured at SOFA Chicago 2017 and 2018.
