Peter loves being constantly challenged on different glass processes and techniques is reflected in the many glass styles I create. Much of his inspiration comes from nature, life experiences, and underwater experiences in scuba diving. The fluidness of glass is constantly in motion and lends a certain amount of unpredictability which makes glassblowing fun. In that last decade he has felt compelled to give back to the community some of the knowledge about glass and glassblowing. He has taught classes in glassblowing using many of the different techniques acquired over the years. The students come away with a better understanding of glass and its properties in the artworld. Patterson exhibits his work all over the world. It can be seen in many Galleries across the country.
